Soda Ash
Sodium carbonate
Alkaline raw material for glass, detergents, chemical production and pH control in water treatment.
Applications
- Glass & ceramics
- Detergents & cleaning products
Na2CO3
Lower bulk-density sodium carbonate suited to detergents, chemical processing and textile applications.
Soda ash light is sodium carbonate in a lower bulk-density form than dense soda ash. The chemical is the same; the physical form affects how it handles, blends and dissolves.
It is often chosen for detergent and cleaning-product manufacturing, chemical processing, textile scouring and dyeing, and general pH adjustment. Contact us to confirm the form best suited to your process.
The fine, porous particles of light soda ash (bulk density roughly 0.5–0.7 g/cm³) absorb liquid surfactants well, which is why detergent powder makers use it for dry blending and agglomeration. It also dissolves quickly when making up alkaline solutions. Where dust control or glass-batch handling matters more, dense soda ash is usually preferred.
Typical uses for this chemical. Suitability for a specific process, and grade requirements for food, pharmaceutical or potable-water use, should be confirmed with our team.
