Textile wet processing moves fibre and fabric through scouring, bleaching, dyeing and finishing, each step with its own chemistry. Leather processing follows a similar sequence of pre-treatment, tanning and fatliquoring. Alkalis, oxidants, salts and surfactants are used throughout.

Request a QuoteHydrogen peroxide is the most widely used bleaching agent for cotton and its blends, giving stable whiteness without chlorinated by-products. Hypochlorite is still used in some applications.
It is commonly traded at around 50% and 70% solids or active content. Choose according to your recipe and compare offers on the same test basis.
Traces of iron and copper catalyse peroxide decomposition, which can cause uneven bleaching and fibre damage, so low-metal grades are preferred for bleaching.
