Agriculture chemicals at a glance

Crops need secondary nutrients and micronutrients as well as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and many soils need their pH corrected before nutrients become available. Agricultural chemical inputs therefore range from soluble nutrient salts to liming materials and the acids used to manufacture fertilisers.

Our agriculture range includes magnesium sulfate as a source of magnesium and sulfur, boric acid as a boron micronutrient, ferrous sulphate as an iron source, hydrated lime and calcium carbonate for soil pH management, and sulfuric acid for fertiliser production.

Choosing agricultural inputs

  • Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate dissolves completely, which suits fertigation and foliar feeding; monohydrate grades carry more magnesium per tonne for dry blending.
  • Boron has a narrow margin between deficiency and toxicity, so boric acid must be applied at carefully controlled rates.
  • Calcium carbonate raises soil pH gradually; hydrated lime acts faster but is caustic and needs careful handling.
  • Ferrous sulphate supplies iron to plants and is also used for moss control and local soil acidification.

Is magnesium sulfate suitable for fertigation?

Fully water-soluble heptahydrate grades are commonly used for fertigation and foliar feeding. Confirm solubility and impurity limits against the product specification for your system.

What should I check before importing agricultural chemicals?

Many countries regulate fertiliser and soil-amendment products, including registration, labelling and heavy-metal limits. Check destination-country requirements before ordering and include them in your inquiry.

Are there restrictions on boric acid?

Boric acid is classified in the EU as toxic for reproduction and its use is restricted in some products. Rules differ by country and application, so confirm local requirements first.
