Calcium Chloride
Hygroscopic inorganic salt used for de-icing, dust control, concrete acceleration and brine applications.
Applications
- De-icing & dust control
- Cement, concrete & mortar
MgCl2
Magnesium salt used in de-icing, dust control, magnesia cement and as an industrial magnesium source.
Magnesium chloride is a water-soluble magnesium salt, commonly traded in flake or crystalline hydrate forms. It is hygroscopic and effective at lowering the freezing point of water.
Applications include road de-icing and dust control, magnesium oxychloride (Sorel) cement and boards, and use as a magnesium source in chemical processing. It is also used as a coagulant in food production where a food-grade material is specified.
Typical uses for this chemical. Suitability for a specific process, and grade requirements for food, pharmaceutical or potable-water use, should be confirmed with our team.
